North Lodge - Bed & Breakfast

"North Lodge" is a family run B&B situated in the rural village of Chilton just off the A34 with links to the M4 and M40 just a short distance away. Didcot train station is a10 minute drive away with fast links to London (40 mins.) and Oxford(15mins.)

There are four en-suite double rooms available with complimentary Wi-Fi ADSL broadband internet access. All rooms are comfortably furnished with TV / DVD and the usual hot drink making facilities. Guests are welcome to use the gravel & patio garden for breakfast or relaxation if they wish.

Evening meals are available at the village pub just a five minute stroll away at www.theroseandcrown.info, or for the more adventurous a 25 min. walk away along a bridle path to the next village of Upton another pub www.georgeanddragon.info can be found. Both pubs provide a take-away menu if preferred. Please check their websites for availability.

For those without transport and not wishing to walk to the nearby Harwell International Business Campus (Science & Innovation) www.harwell.org.uk there is a regular bus service or we have a special arrangement of £5.00 per transfer with Chilton based executive car service The Rural Carriage Company
This compares favourably with calling out town based taxi services at less than half the average cost. We also arrange transfers from airports and railway / bus stations with The Rural Carriage Company and all transport costs can be settled on the accommodation bill if required.

North Lodge benefits from off road parking and easily accessible local walks to the surrounding downland and Ancient Ridgeway.
